Genocide Memorials

It is in the Kicukiro District, in the city of Kigali. It is where the victims of genocide from various parts of the city who where thrown in many ….. in Kigali Hospital garden( CHUK) are buried including leaders and members of various political parties who were killed in genocide. 14, 400 people are buried here.

It is in the Nyamagabe District, Southern Province. It is in the buildings that were intended to host a technical school but later more than 45,000 victims of genocide were killed here.

It is situated in the former zone Turquoise area where French soldiers had their headquarters. They used to play volleyball on top of the mass graves containing those victims before they were exhumed and decently buried.

It is the only site with about 850 bodies of the victims of genocide

The Ntarama Genocide Memorial is located about 30 kilometers south of the capital city of Kigali. Located in the Bugasera region, this church and its contents are a reminder of the horrifying violence that took place at this site during Rwanda's 1994 genocide.
