NYAMATA GENOCIDE MEMORIAL SITE

This parish transformed into a Genocide Memorial site represents other churches in which many people were killed during the Genocide, while they considered them as a protected refuge. In Nyamata Parish, more than 24,000 people from the surrounding sectors were killed between the 10th and 12th of April 1994.
